There is a lot of stress that comes with being an idol. Luhan of EXO knew that best of all. When EXO would collaborate with other groups, such as the Younique Unit experience, Luhan was chosen to do it instead of Lay who everyone thought would be a better fit. He stuck through it though. Most of the time Luhan would just wait until everyone went to bed to let out his frustrations. He would quietly walk out the door, and down the street avoiding the fangirls easily. Walking at a quick place he would soon arrive at a friends house.

This is where I come in. My name is _____. I met Luhan about a year ago. EXO-M was doing promotions at my favorite shop, all I wanted was to get a new tube of lip gloss but the fans and security guards wouldn’t let me pass. I ended up standing in line with the fans and picked up the lip gloss and an EXO album, just for kicks. I had never really been into K-pop but seeing as how good looking they were I decided to give it a try. When I finally go up there all the members signed it, I thanked them and as I went to pay for the lip gloss and album at the back of the store, Luhan’s bag that was on the floor, tripped me up. I guess the fans and EXO-M could tell I wasn’t a fan and doing this on purpose seeing as I actually received help from Luhan and a security guard. Luhan felt bad about it, he came over to me when the boys had a short break from signing. “Are you ok?” , He asked me with worry swirling about in his eyes. I nodded, “Its only stinging a bit but I should be fine, nothing to worry about!” I put on a smile to prove to him I wasn’t lying. “Let me repay you and take you to dinner or something.” He said quietly so no fans heard. I was about to refuse but Hey when opportunity strikes right? I agreed hesitantly.

We met up a few days later. He took me to the street market and we literally ate until we could barely walk home. I allowed him to tell me about his life as an idol. It sounded really harsh and sometimes cruel. He looked upset when talking about it. Ever since then, whenever he felt upset by something he would walk to my small house just down the way from the EXO dorm. We would sit and he would talk and he would let out all of his frustrations. Most of the time when this happened he would end up spending the night. Either curled up on my couch or on the floor next to my bed. I would receive a call from one of the members around 9 am asking if he was ok. I always assured them everything was fine. I would see Luhan off in the morning after making him breakfast and packing a small snack for later in the day.

*present*
For the past couple of weeks everything has seemed fine with Luhan. No worry worthy situations appeared. They were in the midst of promoting their newest single and album. It was called Miracles of December. He had a few promotions to do but most of the time he was free to do what he wanted, unless he had practice with the other members who weren’t promotion either. I would receive a few texts every now and then durning the day. Everything seemed fine. That is until about 1 am.

I was in bed fast asleep when a loud knock woke me up. I got up groggily and pulled my  hoodie on. Walking to the door, I looked to the peep hole. I didn’t see anyone. Still just to check I pulled open the door, what looked like a small child tumbled through the threshold. I soon realized that the child like figure was Luhan. “Luhan what happened??? Are you ok??” I asked worriedly, stooping down to help him up. I pulled him to the couch and grabbed a blanket. It was freezing outside, his lips looked a little blue. Not a word came out of his mouth the entire time, he just looked down at the ground. I wrapped my arms around him trying to warm him up. A sudden whimper made me look at his face. Tears. Streaming down his face, warm salty tears. I had never seen him cry, ever. “Luhan, what’s wrong?” I asked quietly almost afraid to know the answer. It scared me to death. If it made Luhan cry it must be really bad. Whimpers and gasps for air escaped his swollen shaking lips. I could tell he wanted to speak, he was just having a hard time doing it. In an instant he threw the blanket off of him, and pushed my arms off of his shoulders. He stood up and ran to the back door. He couldn’t obviously could’t go far. I had a small fenced in yard with an almost dead garden in the back corner. The foot prints in the frost encrusted grass lead me to the garden gate. Just by looking over the top of the metal barrier I could see his bright orange hair blowing about in the wind.

I slowly and quietly crept through the cobble stone pathway that lead to the middle of the garden. There upon a bunch sat a sobbing Luhan who was practically pulling his hair out of his head. I walked over and grabbed his hands so he couldn’t hurt himself anymore. His grip on the orange strands loosened and his head raised and sat against my stomach. Rubbing a cold hand over his neck, I could do nothing but sigh. I never want to see him like this again. After a few long minutes passed he stopped crying. Looking down at him, I saw the beautiful orbs of brown still shiny from the tears that had just finished streaming out of them. I always loved his eyes. He let me pull him to the house and into my bedroom. I pulled his jacket, shoes, and socks off. Turning the heat up in the house and putting the mini heater at the end of the bed, I wanted to make sure he didn’t get frost bite. I tucked him under the covers and pulled out a few more blankets. He fell asleep in about 5 mins. I slowly backed out of the room and pulled out my phone. I dialed Kris’s number and told him what had happened. I even asked if he knew Luhan had left or what he could be so upset about. Kris’s only response was, “There has been a lot of hate sent to him on weibo lately. It could have been that, but as for knowing if he left. I hadn’t heard anything. I thought he was in his room asleep.” and with that our conversation ended.

I went back to my room to check on him. He was still fast asleep curled up in my bed. His hair tousled from the wind. His face stained with dried tears. He looked so sad even in his sleep. I turned off the mini heater as it was quite warm in the room. Picking up his shoes, socks, and jacket i moved them to the door and hung his jacket up. I felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. I took it out and surprisingly it was already unlocked. Nothing but updates and hate messages where pouring in from anti-fans on weibo. I was so disgusted with what I read. How could these people say such things about such a sweet guy. I put his phone back in his pocket and went back to my room. I Laid down on the bed next to him, slowly putting myself under the covers with him. As soon as I was fully under the covers Luhan’s arms were around my waist, pulling me closer. I soon cuddled into his embrace and let myself fall into a deep sleep. Kris said it was fine for him to sleep all day long he’ll cover for him.

Around noon, I woke to someone brushing a thumb across my face. As soon as I opened my eyes I was met with a tired eyed Luhan. He had a small smile on his face and greeted me as he usually did. “Thank you for everything. You always know how to make me feel better. Wo ai ni.” I simply giggled at him and said, “Saranghae.” Unexpectedly he leaned in and kissed my lips gently. Almost automatically I kissed back. He let all his feeling and emotion out in that kiss. It was my favorite moment that Luhan and I have ever shared.
A short one shot about a crying Luhan.

This is so GOOD!
Have you ever thought about writing longer fictions?
I love how the situation and emotions worked together in this imagine; truly nice work. I wouldn't ever want to see my bb Lulu crying; I would probably cry with him haha.
I thought the way you described his sadness was so spot on I could see it... Great job!
